Kayaks are for a SINGLE PADDLER. Canoes are for 2 PADDLERS. This paddle is not appropriate for children under 2 (children under 7 must be in a canoe with an adult).
Bring the ones you call family out for a fun time on the water. We will be paddling at a child friendly pace as we search for birds, turtles, and other wildlife. We will have scavenger hunt cards available for the kids of all ages. Youth registering as a kayak paddler will be assigned either a youth sized or small adult sized kayak based on their height and weight (information collected during registration). Canoes must have at least one adult paddler. All youth attending paddle must be accompanied by an adult.
Paddle lasts approximately 2 hours and all paddling equipment is included. Paddle takes place at Hickory Hill on Falls Lake in Durham.
